Peacock Collegiate is almost ready to raise the curtain on their latest musical.

"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown", based on the Charles S. Schultz characters, begins Wednesday night.

Stephen Holzer plays the title character, and sets up the story.

"It's about a boy who can never do anything right in life, then when he finally does something right, people start to believe in him."

Instead of using the Peacock Auditorium to stage the production, they're using the smaller Peacock drama room.

Steve Edwards plays Schroeder, and explains why they chose a different venue.

"Our drama teacher wanted to experience a different type of stage layout, called Thrust, where there are three sides of audience. Those on stage can perform to different sides, while having their backs to the other side."

The drama room can hold about 200 people and tickets are available at the Peacock box office.

The show runs until Saturday.
