Some more road work to watch out for as you're making your way through the city over the next couple of days.

The city of Moose Jaw is advising motorists that a paving project is starting up Thursday on Caribou Street West between 1st Avenue NW and 3rd Avenue NW.

The construction is expected to be complete by Sunday evening, weather permitting.

All businesses in the area will remain open and accessible through the alley of Caribou Street West, Ross Street West, and Hochelaga Street West.

Residents looking for access can find that via the alley, as well as Hochelaga Street West.

Detour signs are posted and the city is asking all drivers to obey signage and use caution in the area.

This is just one part of a number of road projects underway throughout Moose Jaw;

  • There is other paving work ongoing on Diefenbaker Drive between Highland Road to Lancaster Road,
  • Watermain Replacement is ongoing on High Street West between Main Street North and 4th Avenue Northwest, with the intersection of High Street and 1st Ave NW remaining open,
  • And work is currently ongoing on Fairford Street East between Main Street North and 1st Avenue North East

The extra driving through town while taking detours may cost you a little bit more than you've been used to as well, as gas prices throughout Moose Jaw have all risen over the last week, with most stations currently sitting at 104.9 cents per litre.
