The Moose Jaw Novice Mustangs sent two teams on the road to Weyburn on Tuesday and both returned with lopsided wins.

The Novice Mustangs 1 rolled to a 13-0 win over the Weyburn Thrashers 2 and the Mustangs 2 scored a 7-3 win over the Thrashers 1 in South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League action.

Both teams are now off until next Friday when they will both travel into Regina.

The Mustangs 1 scored early and often in their shutout win as they opened up a 7-0 lead over Weyburn in the first period.

Brodyn Pladson had five goals and seven points in the win, while captain Ryder Gilroy picked up four goals and five points for the Mustangs 1. Carter Hudyma also chipped in with a pair of goals, while Roman Markin and Odin Graham also scored in the win.

Marek Rajczakowski picked up the shutout in goal as the Mustangs 1 improved to 2-0 on the year.

The Mustangs 2 actually trailed 2-0 after the first period and 3-0 midway through the second, but they came roaring back with seven unanswered goals for the win.

Nash Williams and Austin Smith scored twice each as the Mustangs 2 improved to 2-0 on the year. Kashton Smith, Dax Kalanuk and Rylan Gebhart also found the back of the net in the win.
