Trees have the unique ability to lock themselves in our childhood memories or be a part of our most important stories and traditions.

That's why the City of Moose Jaw is inviting residents to nominate a tree that is special to them to be this year's Tree of Significance.

Reasons to nominate a tree could be its unique size and shape, whether it has historical value, or simply if it is a rare species for this region. All nominated trees must also be accessible to the public such as in public or institutional spaces, or the front or side yards of residential homes.

You can find nomination forms here or picked up at the Parks and Recreation Department office. The winning tree or trees will be announced on September 23, National Tree Day.
