Four Moose Jaw athletes continued their dominating seasons on the badminton court over the weekend.

Vanier's Hayden Ma, Cornerstone's Kenzie Behrns, and Ecole Ducharme's Olivier and Xavier Bilodeau won their respective South Central District Championships on Saturday in Caronport.

Ma came out on top in the boys singles division, beating Assiniboia's Jonathan Harden in the final.

Ma had gone 3-0 in the round robin, winning all six sets in his three matches. He then knocked out Cornerstone's Joel Godard in the semi-final.

Godard would go on to capture the bronze medal with a win over Avonlea's Brayden Nestman in the third-place game.

In girls singles, Behrns knocked off Glentworth's Mahteya Dumelie in the gold medal game.

It was a rematch of a round-robin meeting between the two, which Behrns also won in two sets (21-13, 23-21). Behrns posted a 3-0 record overall in the round robin.

She would edge Central's Katie Coulson in the semifinals during a rematch of the city championship.

Briercrest Christian Academy's Melissa Ellis finished first in her pool but lost to Dumelie in the semifinals before coming away with bronze thanks to a win over Coulson.

The Bilodeau brothers didn't slow down this weekend as they dominated the competition to a 3-0 record in the round robin and then edged BCA's Brendan Kon and Jonathan Chan in the semifinals.

That set up an all-Moose Jaw boys doubles final with the Bilodeaus beating Cornerstone's Zach Beital and John Ferris. Both teams will be heading to regionals.

Beital and Ferris also went 3-0 in the round robin and secured top spot in their pool before beating Glenworth's Cole Zak and Carson Fehr in the semifinals.

Kon and Chan would win the bronze medal.
