Three new recruits will be sworn in as members of the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) this Thursday starting at 2 p.m.

The ceremony will be held at the Performing Arts Centre by the Moose Jaw Public Library, and will see Cst. Sukhraj Jawanda, Jeremy Wright, and Cory Knutt being sworn in by the Honourable Brian Hendrickson, Judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan.

Jawanda started with the MJPS in December, having previously worked for the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol. Wright and Knutt are new recruits, and their 20-weeks of training starts next week.

The ceremony will also see Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners members sworn in, including Clive Tolley, Crystal Froese, Doug Blanc, Nicole Swanson, and Patricia Martynook.
