The Moose Jaw Miller Express travelled to Okotoks on Tuesday, August 16th to face off the Okotoks Dawgs in game 1 of a 3 game series for the Western Canadian Baseball League finals. 

The Dawgs upset the Millers with a devastating 12-3 loss. 

The Millers went scoreless through the entire game until the top of the 9th inning when they manage to steal 3 home runs. 

The Millers only managed to get 6 hits out of the entire game along with 2 errors while the Dawgs walked away with a total of 18 hits and no errors. 

The first inning of the game, Okotoks managed to make two runs and then didn't hit another run until the fourth inning. 

The fifth and sixth innings were also taken by the Dawgs as they got 3 runs in the 5th and 4 more in the 6th. 

The Millers and the Dawgs went scoreless in the 8th inning leading  into the top of the ninth where the Millers got their only three runs of the game before it was over. 

However, the Millers have a chance to redeem themselves on their own playing field Wednesday night, August 17th with the first pitch being thrown just after 7 p.m.

This will be game 2 of the best-of-three series for the finals. If the Millers emerge victorious on their own field, they will travel back to Okotoks for a final game on Thursday August 18th.
