The Moose Jaw Health Foundation has had a stellar year of events and community support in 2017.

With the Festival of Trees bringing in over 300,000 dollars alone, and the countless other fundraisers that help buy equipment for the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Hospital.

Executive Director Kelly McElree, just wants to say "Thank You."

"This is the time of year where I can say 'Thank you' to people from the bottom of my heart, from the bottom of the foundations heart, from the bottom of the doctors, nurses, health care technicians hearts, that live to help other people at our hospital; thank you. Without your support none of this would be able to take place."

The MJHF is able to continue on with great success from the community and recurring sponsorships from businesses like K+S and Murray GM

With events like Tim Hortons' Smile Cookie Campaign, Cancer Care Raffle, Moose Jawg, 800 CHAB Family First Radiothon, and Little Princess Ball during the year, the Health Foundation has been able to do great things for the hospital.

"Most recently we've been campaigning for portable equipment; portable x-ray, portable ultrasound - that's only possible with donors. So people don’t have to go to Regina or Saskatoon for that. They can stay right here in our community."

Every dollar donated from the community has stayed in Moose Jaw to improve the health care not only for our city, but for the rural area.
