Although they fell behind early, the Moose Jaw A's came back to win over the Regina Clippers 15-8 in the North Regina Little League Major AA final Wednesday night.

The A's were down 6-1 going into the bottom of the second and stormed out in the later innings for the win.

“The kids came out a little nervous I could see it during our warm-ups and it rolled into the start of the game. We committed a couple of errors in the first two innings and you could see it in the kids' faces that they were not sure of themselves,” said A’s head coach Cortney Lacelle in an email.

Lacelle said they had a quick chat after the second inning to calm the kids down, and that they had an improved result after that thanks to the efforts of the team leaders. The A’s scored 12 runs in a three inning stretch after that.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this group of kids. They battled and worked hard all year never getting down on anyone always working as a team lifting each other up,” Lacelle said
