The Moose Jaw Police Service arrested a man wanted on several outstanding warrants early Saturday morning.

Police were made aware that Nigel Wolfe was seen at Casino Moose Jaw.

Wolfe was wanted on warrants with the Moose Jaw Police Service and the Moose Jaw RCMP for charges including break and enter and several warrants for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle from evading police while trying to stop him.

Police officers attended and saw Wolfe at a table. A plan was made to arrest Wolfe without giving him a chance to escape. Wolfe saw the officers approaching and without a way to escape surrendered to police.

A search of Wolfe found a loaded .22 handgun concealed in his waistband, concealed knife and bear spray. Police say they found an extra round of ammunition and one ounce of Crystal Meth in his pockets.

Along with the outstanding warrants, Wolfe has additionally been charged with several firearm offences for the concealed handgun, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and violating weapon prohibition orders.

Wolfe remains in custody until his next court appearance on Monday.
