With no relief in sight, worries over dry conditions continue to grow.

That's why the City of Moose Jaw has announced that the Moose Jaw Fire Department has issued a Fire Ban going forward.

"We remind residents that the use of open flame devices such as fire pits, outdoor fireplaces or any form of device that burns solids like wood or briquettes are included in this ban."

Not only are conditions extremely dry at this point but the wind has also been a factor.

The Fire Department will be watching the situation closely, noting that the ban will remain in effect until they have specified otherwise.

Propane BBQs and propane fireplaces are permitted during a ban, although officials would like residents to be careful with all types of smoking materials.
