A whirlwind past month had a golden end for Moose Jaw's Marie Wright.

Wright skipped Team Saskatchewan to an 11-1 win over Manitoba in the gold medal game at the 2018 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship in Leduc, Alba. on Sunday.

Saskatchewan went a perfect 11-0 over the course of the week at nationals.

In the final, Saskatchewan scored in every end except the second on route to the lopsided win. They put up two in the first and then four in the third to blow the game open with a 6-1 lead after three.

Saskatchewan then strung together three straight steals, picking up one in the fourth and two each in the fifth and sixth ends.

Wright has now captured a national championship to go along with her Paralympic bronze medal over the past month.

Team Saskatchewan also featured Moose Jaw's Moose Gibson as an alternate and Lorraine Arguin as coach.

We'll have more with Wright coming up on Tuesday at DiscoverMooseJaw.com.
