Miss Canadian Tourism International Tristan Johnson England recently visited Government House.Miss Canadian Tourism International Tristan Johnson England had the opportunity to visit Government House.

England has been active in the community with her career in autobody and going for her jouneyperson and her work with the cadet program with the Navy League.

She has worked very hard leading up to this point and she explained that it takes much more than just a pretty face.

“Since I’ve been in the Pageant world within this past year, it has been a huge, huge difference for me. I’ve learned more than I have in a long time, in the sense that there's a lot of things to go into it, fashion, learning how to do your hair and makeup if you didn’t know how to do that before, there's a lot of work and a lot of dedication towards it that you have to put into it otherwise you have nothing to show for it and I have lots, I have confidence and there’s just too much to say.”

England is grateful for the opportunity and says she has taken lots away from this experience.

“It was basically a meet and greet and a thank you for representing Canada. I got lost there at first but it was really cool, the experience and being in the receiving room and waiting, it was a bit nerve-racking because I didn’t know what to expect, I was just there and then as far as I knew I was explaining my Journey, and talking about myself and it went a lot better than I thought it would.”

She would also like to thank the people who have supported her and those who continue to support her, also to the ones who made this opportunity available.

England states that Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty and his wife were wonderful people and she’s excited to meet them again at the 125th Navy League of Canada Celebration.
