The Moose Jaw Miller Express had their offence come through late in a high scoring win over the Regina Red Sox on Friday night.

Moose Jaw led 8-2 after the fourth inning, but fell behind 11-8 just three innings later, only to come charging back with four runs in the final two innings for a 12-11 win at Currie Field.

Brooks Benson led the charge for Moose Jaw, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored, while John Prudhom was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Hitting out of the lead-off spot, Millers outfielder Eric Marriott was 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored.

Pitcher Markus Gregson, who has been playing in the field for the past few weeks, went 4-for-6 for the Millers and drove in the winning run with a one-out single in the ninth inning.

Millers starter Ryder Yakel allowed five runs on 11 hits over four innings of work. He struck out one and walked none.

Cortland Hampton came on for the next 1 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits before being replaced by Matt Perry, who was tagged for two runs -- one earned -- on three hits in 1 1/3 innings.

Logan Hoffman picked up the win for Moose Jaw after throwing two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two.

Regina starter Edgar Cuevas was tagged for eight runs -- five earned -- on 11 hits and three walks. He struck out four.

Adam De La Cruz took the loss, allowing one run on three hits and a walk in a 1 1/3 innings.

The win improves the Millers to 2-2 on their five-game road trip this week and puts their record at 22-24 overall this season.

The Millers will finish their trek in Weyburn on Saturday for a first round playoff preview against the first place Beavers. First pitch is at 7 p.m.

After that, the Millers return home to host the Melville Millionaires in the regular season finale, 7 p.m. at Ross Wells Park.
