It was a tough weekend for the Moose Jaw Miller Express, as they lost all three games against the Regina Red Sox, and extend their losing streak to five games.

With the losses, Regina only trails Moose Jaw by only a game and a half for first place in the Western Canadian Baseball League’s East Division.

On Friday, the Millers’ welcomed the Red Sox and after taking an early lead, Regina would storm back and pick up a run in the first and second innings, two in the third, and one in the sixth and ninth inning to take game one 6-3.

Moose Jaw would add one run in the sixth to cut the lead to 6-2, but Regina would add two more in the eighth inning to lead 8-2.

The Millers’ wouldn’t give up adding four runs in their half of the eighth inning after Michael Speck, Nate Mensik, Austin Gurney, and Parker Dorrance would cross the plate.

That's as close as the Millers’ would get, as the Red Sox would add one in the ninth inning to leave Ross Wells Parks with a 9-6 win.

At the plate, Parker Dorrance went three-for-four with an RBI, while Hudson Barrett picked up two hits and an RBI.
