The Moose Jaw Midget AA Warriors haven't had the start to the season that they would have hoped as they lost their second straight game on Thursday night in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

The Warriors lost 8-1 to the Regina Rangers at the Bert Hunt Arena. It was the second straight game to open the season that the Warriors have lost 8-1 after falling to the Prairie Storm Lightning in their season opener on Sunday.

Noah Braun scored the lone goal for Moose Jaw against the Rangers, picking up a shorthanded marker in the third period.

Moose Jaw's goalies were peppered with 43 shots, while the Warriors fired just 13 shots on the Rangers' net in the loss. Regina was 3-for-9 on the power play, while Moose Jaw went 0-for-5.

The Warriors will be back on the ice on Sunday afternoon to host the Regina Vics at the Bert Hunt Arena. Puck drops at 1:30 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Peewee AA Warriors are opening their season this weekend with a pair of road games as they head to Yorkton to face the Terriers and Melville to take on the Millionaires.

The Bantam AA Warriors hit the road to open their season as well this weekend. They face off with the Saskatoon Generals in the Bridge City on Saturday and then they travel to Martensville to go up against the Marauders on Sunday.
