Team Saskatchewan's medal count at the Western Canada Games is climbing, in no small part due to the work of Cadence Johns in the pool.

As of Sunday, they've earned 12 gold, nine silver and 14 bronze in Swift Current. Cadence Johns earned three gold medals in the 100m fly, the 100m back and the 400m IM. She's in the 200m backstroke and 200m breaststroke today. Austin Lin of Moose Jaw won a silver medal in the mixed 4x200 swimming relay and a bronze in the 4 x 100 mixed freestyle relay.

Dylan Boughen scored 10 points as the men's basketball team won 62-59 over Manitoba last night and take on the Yukon today. They sit at 2-1 in the tournament and in second place.

Courtney Botterill and the women's softball team lost a close one, 3-2 to Manitboa. They're 1-1 and the playoffs go tomorrow.

Moose Jaw has athletes in tennis and wrestling, which will start later this week. The games go to Sunday.
