Wednesday October 27th, The Mae Wilson Theatre in the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre will be hosting Jeffery Straker.

He's returning to Moose Jaw to perform his latest album Just Before Sunrise.

He will also be preforming brand new, never heard before singles.

Straker says he's excited to be back, "The Mae Wilson Theater is my favorite venue in the province... the whole vibe in there, it's really special and for years I've called it the Carnegie Hall of the prairies."

Due to the pandemic, Straker has only been able to tour within Canada but he's happy to be doing live shows again.

He will usually travel all around the world but being in Canada has still allowed to bring joy to people with live music.

He told Discover moose Jaw in an interview that he's seen people get emotional over being able to experience live music again and that gives him so much satisfaction with being able to bring that feeling back to people.

Tickets for his show can be found on moosejawculture.ca or jefferystraker.com.

Straker also received confirmation that he will be returning to the TeleMiracle Telethon next year in March.

The telethon is for the Kinsmen Foundation which helps support communities around Saskatchewan by providing resources to medical equipment and having a focus on supporting people with special needs and their families.

The telethon is an annual 20-hour televised fundraiser that raises money for these supports.

Straker will return to the telethon as one of the hosts and performers to help attract call-in donations.

"I believe this is telemiracle 46 and having Saskatchewan ring those phones and have all that crazy generous donating they do over the 20 hours and seeing what the total's going to be. We never know and Saskatchewan always makes it happen so it's one of the highlights of my year," says Straker.

As for his show in Moose Jaw, He also told Discover Moose Jaw that throughout his last few shows around Canada a theme has risen.

People have discovered that he absolutely loves home-made baked goods and have been bringing him pies and cakes to celebrate his performances.

Anyone going to his show on October 27th is welcome to bring baked goods and he said that he will not turn them down.
