You are not alone.

Taking place at Riverview Collegiate at 10:30 am on November 23rd is International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, where a community of people who've lost someone to suicide can come together and gain understanding and find comfort as they share stories of healing and hope.

At this event, there will be a feature screening of the American Foundation Film documentary "Pathways to Healing". Afterwards, there will be a discussion.

Lori Meyer from Journey to Hope Moose Jaw describes why this is an event and what she hopes people can take away from it.

"Being able to reach out to everyone who's had this experience is what we are aiming for, to try and bring people together that have experienced it so there's comfort in that number, there's comfort in looking around and thinking "I'm not alone", even though at times it is a very lonely road."

You are encouraged to bring a picture or item to share the memory of your loved one.

There is also a Survivors of Suicide Support Group Wednesday of each month held at the Parkview Location: 474 Hochelaga St.W from 7:30-9:00 pm.
