Homestand '22 is only a few weeks away.

The 2nd annual concert hosted by River Street Promotions will take over Ross Wells Park on Saturday, September 10th at 1 pm.

Proceeds from the event will be going towards the further beautification of Ross wells park and youth mental health initiatives in the Prairie South School Division.

The show's lineup is stacked with Matt Mays, Chilliwack, Nice Horse, and JJ Voss.

JJ Voss says he's excited to be playing with his band.

"I get to bring my damn good band out to Moose Jaw with me which is great. I don' get to play with them near enough but for this show we're bringing out the band," says Voss.

He shares that he'll be playing some of his own songs along with a couple of cover songs to keep people engaged.

"I'll hopefully get the crowd revved up for Chilliwack, Matt Mayes, and Nice Horse," he says.

Voss is also thrilled to be a part of an event that's supporting mental health initiatives in schools.

"It's good to be able to contribute to the community and to the whole area. Especially with the whole mental health thing (which is) prevalent in everybody's life every day. There's days I get up where I don't want to get out of bed and I'd rather curl up with a bag of sandwiches and not see the outside world. You know, having an initiative like this to get kids talking and to know that they're okay and it's okay to not feel great everyday and to communicate about it I think is positive," says Voss.
