The CPR Holiday Train helped Moose Javians get into the holiday groove as Lisa Brokop and Wide Mouth Mason helped to raise funds and food for the local food bank.

Helping out those less fortunate during the holiday season.

Hundreds and hundreds of people gathered just west of the CPR train station Sunday night to raise funds and make donations to the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank.

The CPR Holiday Train stopped in Moose Jaw for a night of festive fun. Moose Jaw Mayor Dale McBain was on hand to help greet the entertaining and helpful vehicle. "The turnout was just fantastic and I just can't believe the number of people here. It was just wonderful to see the citizens of Moose Jaw come out to support this."

The train was decorated with more than 100,000 lights and came complete with performances from Wide Mouth Mason and Lisa Brokop.

Every December the train travels across Canada and parts of the US to help out local food banks. While the numbers are still being crunched organizers are pleased with the results of the event in Moose Jaw Sunday night.
