The City of Moose Jaw is ready to tear down the hazard and prepare the land for future development.

Bricks will start to fall this month at the old Providence Hospital on South Hill in Moose Jaw. City Hall has awarded the tender for the second phase of the demolition process with a price tag of about 700 thousand dollars.

To help keep the memory of the historic hospital alive City Engineer Ryan Johnson has a plan. "What we decided to do is through the tender process we wanted to maintain about 10 pallets of bricks for the city to use for projects in the future and then save as many bricks as we could and we would make them available individually so if someone wants one brick for a souvenir we would have it. So if someone was born there and wants one or two bricks we'll give them away."

If you would like a brick from the old hospital contact the Engineer's Department.
