UPDATE: They have determined that hard drive turned in to the Hillcrest Golf Club was not the one stolen from the club. If anyone is missing a hard drive, they can reach out to Jasmine Cameron.

Hillcrest Golf Club posted on social media that someone was caught cutting through their fence again over the weekend.

The club has seen a number of break-ins in recent years, with people stealing course maintenance equipment, damaging and stealing surveillance equipment, and cutting through their fence.

This most recent incident took place yesterday according to Jasmine Cameron, general manager for the Hillcrest Golf Club. "We had a concerned citizen notice that there was some activity going on on the north side of our course."

When asked for a comment on this most recent situation, the Moose Jaw Police Service said they responded to a call from a concerned citizen reporting two people attempting to cut a hole in the fence around 451 Thatcher Drive around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Upon responding, police caught and charged one person with one count of mischief, and they were also issued a ticket for trespassing.

"We thank anyone and everyone who takes the time to give the police a call when they do see things that they don't feel are being properly executed on site," said Cameron.

In another update, Cameron said that a man found their stolen hard drive from an earlier break in near Prairie Oasis. "I'm hoping that we can get into it, and see what's on there, and hopefully catch some other culprits who decided to take what they weren't supposed to."

She said that if calls are made to police that result in apprehensions of those causing damage or stealing items at the Hillcrest Golf Club, they would like to say thank you to those making the reports with rounds of golf or gift certificates.
