The Peacock wrestling team won SHSAA 4A Boys regionals over the weekend in Prince Albert.

The seven boys from the school combined for one first place finish, four second place finishes and one third place finsih at regionals, giving them more points than any other 4A school.

Kyle Yamniuk was first place in the 62kg weight class, while Matthew Knox (41kg), Kayce Owens (47kg), Davil Miller (69kg) and Dylan Yamniuk (73 kg) were in second place in their weight classes. Connor Rowsell (90kg) placed third in his class. 

In provincials next weekend in Sasaktoon, the top four wrestlers from each weight class from regionals will join Regina and Saskatoon grapplers for the SHSAA provincial championships.

Those Peacock male wrestlers will be joined by Centrals's Alexis Bradish (68 kg female), Nigel Fang (53kg male) and Peacock's Mihert Cridland (second place, 56kg female), Alyssa Roney (fourth place, 53 kg), Makayla Holmes (fourth place, 64 kg) and Syndee Christmann (fourth place, 73 kg).
