As the province sees Calgary Flames fans and Winnipeg Jets fans take in the Heritage Classic tomorrow night, the economic spillover is evident.

The Heritage Classic is great for not only for the Regina economy... But Moose Jaw's too.

Darlene Geib is the General Manager of the Ramada Hotel here in Moose Jaw.

"The whole city and province are seeing the spin-off of this game. We were lucky enough to reach out prior to being filled up at our hotel and were able to capture some of the NHL Alumni greats to stay here in Moose Jaw."

Geib added that they have been helping many find accomodation not only in Moose Jaw but also places as far as Swift Current.

"We have been guiding and helping people looking for accommodations right up into the Swift current area."

This will be the first regular-season outdoor NHL game that will be held in a neutral site, and the first regular-season game held in Saskatchewan since 1994.

On the topic of entertainment for the 5th Heritage Classic will feature a plethora of Saskatchewan entertainment, including country artist Jess Moskaluke.

"Good on the NHL they went with all Saskatchewan performers and entertainers. You know there's a ton of talent here in Saskatchewan and unfortunately, we can only showcase three of them because there are hundreds of talented musicians but it's going to be myself, the Hunter Brothers, and The Sheepdogs."

Mosskaluke also added a rough itinerary for performances that evening.

"I know that The Hunter Brothers are doing the National Anthem and you don't want to miss that because I've never heard it done more beautifully in my life, and I will be doing the second intermission and we're doing three songs but if you're watching from home you're only going to see one of those songs unfortunately."

The Heritage Classic is set to be one of the biggest events in the Queen City this year and both Moose Jaw and Regina will see the positive impacts of the boost on the economy.
