The price of gasoline has dropped in Moose Jaw for the second time in a week, down nine cents to 157.9 cents per litre. Before Tuesday's drop, the most recent decrease came on Nov. 9 when gas dropped six cents down to 166.9 cents per litre.

As of Tuesday afternoon, according to GasBuddy data, the price of gas is ranging from 157.9 on the low end all the way up to 175.9 being the highest.

Last week, Discover Moose Jaw spoke with Patrick DeHaan a Petroleum Analyst with GasBuddy. He said following that last week's decrease, more were expected to come.

“Wholesale gas prices have declined significantly giving stations more room to lower their price,” says DeHaan in Nov. 10 interview. “I expect this isn’t the end, at least for now, I do think that we could see gas prices fall another five to 10 cents in the next week or two as long as there are no new refining issues and other noise.”

The average price of gas in Moose Jaw as of Tuesday is 166.9 cents per litre, with the province reporting a much lower average of 161.9. The lowest gas price Moose Jaw has seen was back on Jan. 11 with a price of 134.9 cents per litre.

The most expensive gas price in Canada can be found in Parksville, BC at 197.9 cents per litre, while the cheapest price is in Thunder Bay, ON at 127.9.
