Little Chicago held up to its name in more than one way yesterday, with howling winds reaching beyond 85 km/h. Large trees had major branches blown off and outside garbage cans were knocked over all over the city. The wind speeds reached a record high for the year, and Moose Jaw was one of the windiest places in Canada, along with Regina reaching up to 82 km/h. The gusts in the afternoon are only part of what is predicted to come, as the winds are supposed to continue today and tomorrow.
