For those traveling northwest on Highway #19 east of Central Butte, you may have to take an alternate route.

Highway #19 has been washed out 11 kilometres north of the Highway #42 intersection, which has closed both lanes of traffic.

The Ministry of Highway says there is no timeline on when that section of the road will reopen but warns motorists to be prepared to stop and reduce their speed, and passing is prohibited.

A detour on Highway #367 from Eyebrow to Bridgeford will connect you to Highway #19 and allow you to continue your trip north.

In addition, Highway #42 just east of Lucky Lake is closed in both directions due to flood damage. A detour is in place and the ministry is asking motorists to follow signs and message boards in the area.
