Moose Jaw's Graeme Fish won his first ever World Cup medal, a bronze medal, in long track speeds skating in Kazakhstan.

He had a time of 13 minutes, 4.255 seconds in the 10,000 metres yesterday. That was only five seconds off the first place pace of Dutch skater, Patrick Roest. Russia's  Danila Semerikov placed second. 

World record-holder Ted-Jan Bloemen of Calgary placed seventh. 

Fish is now in fifth place in the long distance world cup rankings with the bronze.
