Gymtastiks Moose Jaw sent 30 athletes to the Yorkton Invitational at the start of the month and they brought home some great results across the board.

Hailey Wagner and Shaine Closs won all-around medals for the club, while they also collected 30 individual event medals overall from the competition. (Click here for full results from the Yorkton Invitational)

Coach Jamie Olmstead said their athletes are improving quickly this season and the results are showing.

"From competition to competition, they're coming back in-between and making sure that they're getting their routines in and improving on their corrections," she said. "Everyone at the competition finished in the top half of their categories, so the results just keep on improving."

Coming out of the competition, all of Gymtastiks' athletes in Junior Olympic level 3-7 have now qualified for the Gymnastics Saskatchewan Provincial Championship next month.

"We're one of the only clubs in the province to be able to say that," said Olmstead. "As a club, the kids are right on track to peak at the provincial championship."

Gymtastiks Moose Jaw will be back in action at provincials on May 10-12 in Saskatoon.
