Morse RCMP has closed Highway 1 eastbound is closed between Ernfold and Chaplin due to a fire.

The closure is expected to last for several hours, according to the RCMP.

Detours have been set up and motorists can expect delays.

Because of the highway splitting, westbound traffic is not affected.
