Moose Jaw residents may have seen the skies covered with a green and pink tinge on Thursday night. 

If you did, that's because the skies were dancing, as the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis put on a spectacular show across Canada and even as far south as Alabama and southern California. 

The Aurora Borealis is when charged particles from the sun interact with the magnetic field around the Earth. 

According to the Aurora forecast, it will be a great time to capture the Northern Lights this weekend.
