Break and enters are getting out of control as five more families were victimized Thursday night along with a car being stolen.

 

Frustration is setting in as the Moose Jaw Police Service is dealing with a rash of break and enters this week.

After three were reported Wednesday evening another five were reported Thursday evening with a stolen car as well.

The first was reported on the 500 block of Hochelaga Street West but unfortunately when the incident happened is unknown as the family was robbed while on vacation.

Around 8:30 Thursday evening police responded to the 1100 block of Wolf Avenue for a break and enter. Then 10 minutes later police were a few blocks over at another break and enter. This time on the 1000 2nd Avenue NE. What was taken in each incident is still unknown.

At 10:27 a break and enter was reported on the 700 block of Ominica Street East. DVD's and electronics were stolen.

At 10:40 police responded to a stolen vehicle from the 900 block Hochelaga west. Its a red, 1994 ford tempo, with out a license plate.

At 11:22 a break and enter to Zellers in the mall was reported while they were closed for the night. The store was broken in through the restaurant and suspect stolen some cigarettes.

All incidents are still under investigation.

Police are asking everyone to take extra precautions to protect against their home being broken into. Lock your doors and windows, leave a light and a radio on, and watch out for your neighbours while they’re away. As well if you notice anything suspicious in your neighbourhood don’t hesitate to contact police.
