The Prairie South School Division hosted the elementary badminton singles city championships on Monday at Peacock Collegiate with the Cornerstone Falcons dominating the podium.

The top 24 boys and 24 girls throughout the season hit the court for the finals and Kenzie Behrns came away with the girls singles title, while Cole Breitkreuz picked up the boys singles title.

Behrns looked Sunningdale's Summer Okerstrom in two sets (21-11, 21-10) in the final. King George's Sidney Ellingson came away with the bronze medal, edging Cornerstone's Erica Kaminski in two sets (21-12, 21-10).

In the boys final, Breitkreuz knocked off Palliser Heights' Harry Lin in two sets (21-12, 21-16), while Zidane Closs from Sunningdale took home the bronze with a two-set win (21-18, 21-12) over Seth Lewis.

The doubles titles will be handed out on Wednesday. The tournament starts at 4 p.m. at Peacock.
