A windy Monday night made things feel colder than they really were and that'll be the story for much of the week. We're dealing with an early blast of winter on the prairies that's dropped a few centimetres of snow on some areas.

Moose Jaw saw a thin blanket of fresh snow and that high wind has polished some of the intersections around the city, resulting in the occasional icy patch. Cooler than normal conditions are expected through Friday morning with a wind chill of -20 at times on Tuesday, we'll need to bundle up. Normally, we'd see a high of about +3 degrees.

The snow should taper off Tuesday afternoon but could reappear on Friday as some warm air clashes with the cold pocket currently over the province.
