I had seen him in-person before and heard him speak.  Yesterday, I met him for the first time.  I'll never forget it.  He's a celebrity.  He's warm and kind and polite.  He's highly intelligent and an absolute pleasure to talk to.

Chief Dr. Robert Joseph is in Moose Jaw for Atamiskakewak - the national gathering designed to bridge the gap between Indigenous and non Indigenous people.

Chief Joseph talked about the process of reconciliation, building relationships and coming together for transformation.  He talked about opportunities and equality, creating awareness and the need for us to commit to change.

Chief Joseph spent much of his childhood in a residential school.  He's not angry about it anymore.  And, while he says it's important we don't forget about those terrible mistakes, we need to focus on the future - on reconciliation - one step at a time.

The World needs more people like Chief Dr. Robert Joseph.
