I'm trying to lift myself up today by focusing on all that's good.  It happens every year in mid-October.

You see, when the Hillcrest Golf Club closes for the season, I feel like I lose my best friend and I feel lost for a few weeks.

It was such a beautiful autumn day yesterday and I saw a few long faces at the club as local golfers packed up their gear for the season.  And later in the day as I ran some errands, I saw others who appeared to be down-in-the-mouth - these were people towing their boats and campers, presumably taking them to storage for the winter.  It's just so sad.

I see on social media that a number of my friends wrapped up their fall baseball season yesterday as well.  I guess they'll go bowling now.

It always makes me wonder why our ancestors settled here.  Didn't they know how warm it is, year-round, down in Arizona and California?  Why didn't they go south?  We'll never know.

Summer fun for 2021 is all over now.

You know, one of my favourite sayings is, "Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."  Ya...let's go with that today.
