If the results from our poll are any indication, we are going to see lots of trick or treaters on the streets on All Hallows' Eve.

The poll, which you can participate in on DiscoverMooseJaw.com, shows the majority of locals, 63% as of this morning, say their family will be trick or treating on Sunday night.  About 25% say "No, the risk is too high."  About 7% are planning to stick to family and friends while about 6% are undecided.

It's the COVID-19 pandemic, of course, that continues to be in play here.

Chances are, the kids will have to do a lot of walking to gather treats because not all homeowners will open their doors to the neighbourhood kids.

A new survey from Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies found fewer than half of Canadians will welcome visitors on Sunday night due to the pandemic and the associated risks.  56% said they would not participate with about half of them saying they would normally hand out the candy.

And it's interesting to note, of the respondents who approved of their children trick or treating last year, 7% said they won't allow it this year.
