How's your standard of living these days?  Pretty good?

A recent poll from Nanos Research has found most in Canada believe the next generation will have lower standards of living in the future.

This is an ongoing 10-year study from Nanos and right now, they're telling us our "views of the future are at an all-time low".

The research, which started in May of 2012, asked the question, "Do you think the next generation of Canadians will have a standard of living that is higher, the same or lower than Canadians have today".  Initially they found 37% of us said it would be lower.  Fast-forward to 2021 and that number is 63 - 63% of us believe future generations will have a lower standard of living.

Nanos found many of us are worried "about the pandemic, climate change and inflation" and how these issues will impact us in the time to come.

I know a couple who, many years ago, made a conscious decision never to have children because they were uncertain about the future.  Perhaps they were prophetic.  Oh, and what's more?  They don't seem to be short of disposable income.
