The good, the bad and the ugly - I saw it all yesterday when I was out and about in Canada's Most Notorious City.  Let's start with the ugly and move to the bad and finish with the good.

The ugly?  It's pothole season.  It might be the worst we've ever seen but, we seem to say that every spring.  There's rough road on South Hill, East End and North Hill.  The craters at the corner of Macdonald Street and 5th Avenue NW are atrocious.  It seems like Macdonald Street falls apart annually.  There must be something to that.

The bad?  Inconsiderate motorists who drive through big puddles of muddy water with no consideration for oncoming drivers or pedestrians on sidewalks.  I don't understand why people can't slow down.  We live in Moose Jaw.  There's no hurry, is there?  Come on, now!

The good?  Local children riding their bikes and scooters home from school with smiles so bright they light up the neighbourhood.

Oh, and the green grass!  The three feet of snow is almost gone in my backyard and some sections of the lawn are already green.

And one more thing.  While the course isn't open yet I did see one fella playing golf at the Lynbrook yesterday.  The greens are still covered with tarps but he didn't seem to care.  He was happy.
