I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Alan Millar took the level of professionalism in our organization from average to top notch.  And it didn't take him very long to accomplish that.

Millar, the longest serving and most successful general manager in Moose Jaw Warriors history, announced his resignation yesterday.  He's taking a coveted position with Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence.

A number of former Warriors players are paying homage on social media.

Former captain Kendall McFaull writes, "Congrats to Alan, very deserving.  An outstanding general manager who always treated his players first class and truly cared about them as individuals.  I experienced this while I was a Warrior and well after my playing days...Thanks for everything!"

And here's former Warrior Torrin White on Twitter, writing, "My family and I will always appreciate the way you treated us in Moose Jaw.  Through the highs and lows, Alan always treated me as a person first and a hockey player second.  It's hard to describe how much he has done for hockey in Moose Jaw over the past 10 years."

You got that right, Torrin White.  You got that right.
