And so, this is Christmas?

Do you remember who you were with and where you were last Christmas?  What about the year before?  Did you have to think about that?

Christmas 2020 will be unforgettable.  I think in the future we'll probably call it "The Covid Christmas".

I know some local people who have children living in Swift Current.  They met halfway at Chaplin a few days ago - outdoors - to exchange Christmas gifts.

One of my good friends did a drive-by gifting for me yesterday.  I was on the telephone when I heard my front door open.  i checked it out and found a nice care package full of treats between my doors.  I saw my friend scampering away for his next delivery.  Of course, if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic, he would have come inside for a visit.

I have another friend who would love to visit his elderly dad in the care home.  He can't.  His dad doesn't really understand.  I can only imagine how heartbreaking that is.

I think, if there is a ray of sunshine to find this year, it may be that many of us won't take our friends and family for granted ever again.

Merry Christmas
