Josh Brook will be testing himself against the pros later this week as the Moose Jaw Warriors defenceman heads to training camp with the Montreal Canadiens in Quebèc.

The 2017 second round pick says he feels he’s grown as a player since getting drafted last year.

"I feel like I`ve gotten bigger and stronger and I think I`ve improved in my game in a lot of ways. I know I haven't played a lot since I got drafted, I mean besides the games last year but I think I`ve made big steps."

In 45 games, Brook had three goals and 32 points with the Warriors last season and he`s eager to show what he has to offer.

"Think it`s just to try to make it as far as I can, work as hard as I can show `em what I got and hope for the best."

After battling some injuries, Brook feels like he`s ready to go this time around, "`Super excited. Last year I got hurt, and didn't get to play the whole camp but this year I`m healthy going into it and I`m very excited."

Brook will be taking part in the NHL Rookie Showdown 2018 in Laval later this week.
