The Western Hockey League Final is set after a pair of Game 6 wins for the Swift Current Broncos and Everett Silvertips on Monday night.

The Broncos scored five unanswered goals to beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-1 and take the Eastern Conference title.

Lethbridge dominated the first period, outshooting Swift Current 20-2 and taking a 1-0 lead on a goal from Calen Addison, but the Broncos received goals from Matteo Gennaro, Aleksi Heponiemi and Beck Malenstyn over a 1:36 span early in the second to move in front.

Giorgio Estephan scored his seventh goal of the series 2:12 into the third period and Malenstyn iced the game with his second of the night to lead the Broncos to the win.

Former Hurricanes goalie Stuart Skinner made 33 saves to hand Lethbridge their first home loss of the season and send the Broncos into the WHL Final.

Swift Current will face the Silvertips after Kevin Davis scored the overtime winner to beat the Tri-City Americans, 6-5, in Game 6.

The back-and-forth game saw Patrick Bajkov give Everett a 2-1 lead after one, but the Americans scored four straight goals to go up 5-2 early in the third period. Kyle Olson had a pair, while Michael Rasmussen and Jordan Topping also scored to give Tri-City the three-goal lead.

Connor Dewar scored one minute after Topping to cut the lead back down to two and 4:01 later, Davis made it a one-goal game with his second of the playoffs. Deadline acquisition Garrett Pilon came up big for the Silvertips as he tied the game with 5:31 to go in regulation.

Davis sent Everett into the championship series with his second of the night just 5:58 into the first overtime period.

Carter Hart made just 18 saves in the win for Everett, while Patrick Dea stopped 36 of 42 shots in the loss for Tri-City.

The battle for the Ed Chynoweth Cup opens on Friday night in Swift Current.
