For its 13th annual year, the Better Together Food Drive will be coming to everyone's doorsteps.

The Hillcrest Church's October food drive is always a success, especially with how easy it is when you receive your brown paper bag.

"Fill this bag full of non-perishable food items and a volunteer will come to your door between 6 and 9 on Halloween night to collect the bag," explained organizer Karen MacNaughton. "Volunteers will be clearly identified."

They also need volunteers for the food drive still. You can sign up online or by calling the church at (306) 692-5600.

If you sign up, you'll be paired with a driver, some runners, and a map. You'll job is to head door to door in your designated area and return the food to be sorted the same night.

Last year, over 53,000 pounds of food was collected and donated to our local food bank.
