The Moose Jaw 13U AAA Canucks are back on the diamond, sweeping a weekend doubleheader with the Swift Current 57’s.

Game one saw the Canucks work off the offseason rust to pick up an 8-3 win.

Spencer Craig got the start on the mound, pitching for the first two innings. Ryan Gibbs would come in relief for innings three and four before Max Craig closed the game out in the fifth and sixth innings.

The Canucks were strong at the plate, including a triple off the outfield fence by Kyren Ernst in the fifth inning.

In the second game of the doubleheader, the Canucks were able to erase a 10-1 deficit to win 13-12.

Moose Jaw was held off the scoresheet in the first three innings before bringing in a run in the fourth.

The bats then came alive in the fifth as the Canucks were able to drive in nine runs to get back into the ball game.

Swift Current would add a run in the fifth to make it 11-10 for the 57’s, but the Canucks were able to score three in the sixth inning while keeping Swift Current to one run.
