WCA Field Day 2013 021

Farmers from around the South West will have a chance tomorrow to see some of the research work being done by the Wheatland Conservation Area and SPARC.

The tour will look at various research being done with cereals, mustard, pulse and speciality crops like faba beans.

Bryan Nybo is the Farm Manager for the Agri-Arm site at Swift Current and says the partnership support for the event and research has been great:

"Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada here in Swift Current at the SPARC research station, Fast Ministry of Agriculture, we've got the Saskatchewan Mustard Development Commission involved this year, as well as the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers and Sask Wheat. We've got a lot of participants joining us this year so it should be a really good tour."

He says this years tour on Thursday will be a full day with registration beginning at 9 am in the Thomson Room at SPARC.
