Learning the Ins and Outs

Organic producers are learning more about the Canadian Wheat Board's new pilot program.

The organic delivery contract will be available for the new crop year with sign up beginning September 1st.

"Canadian Organic Certification Cooperative approached the Canadian Wheat Board requesting we market their grains, we have been getting more requests like that from farmers so we thought this was an opportunity to specifically partner with a group that was ready to work with us and so we decided to run a pilot program to test it out," said Donna Youngdahl, who is the boards organic marketing manager.
