This week’s Canadian Crop Trade Mission in Italy seems to have gone well.

Henry Vos a farmer from the Peace River District took part in the tour which gave perspective buyers, millers and pasta manufacturers to share information on this years crop.

He says in Italy they use a fair amount of Canadian Durum in their pasta along with CWRS wheat. He adds it was a great opportunity to interact with our customers.

"The various people on the mission are talking about the attributes of the 2015 crop, relative to last year's crop and the year before. Talking about the quantity of production, talking about the growing conditions of the year and I myself was talking about some of the farming practices that are involved in Canadian agriculture today," he said.

Vos took part in the event along with Canadian Grain Commission, Cereals Canada an exporter and CIGI.
