The Calgary product started the week with a 4-0 shutout against Swift Current, stopping all 32 shots he faced. He earned the first star of the game, and it marked his second shutout in his WHL career.

Unger then turned 30 shots aside in a 5-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels to open the Warriors’ Alberta road swing.

So far this season, Unger has a .916 save percentage and a 3.05 goals against average for a record of 14-9-0-1. He currently has the most wins among netminders in the league. He’s faced a league-high 778 shots and is second in minutes played with 1,397. He is three minutes behind Lethbridge Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin.
